Topaz shares his somewhat abstract take on the coming out process, the unique beauty in everyone,
and why it’s so important to identify and share that truth.
Though it may be very deeply stored within you, there is joy in there! Here’s some motivation.
It does not only apply to sexual identity! The coming out process is necessary for that tightly bound secret you store deep within yourself. It is there for the quirk you cannot stop fixating on, the one over which you’ve struggled for years to find a like-minded companion. What makes you feel positively weird?
From whom exactly are you hiding this beauty? True, it may not even slightly seem beautiful, at this moment. Through whose eyes is this opinion drawn? Only your eyes matter at this point. Adjust the focus. Is this unique, shining oddity not a part of You? Would this quirk bring you joy were it not for the meddling (not to mention hypothetical, ergo imaginary) criticism of others?
Joy is at the top of the feelings hierarchy! It is a state of being in which every person has a right to bask. Neither critical judgment, nor shame, nor (lack of) money, nor fear – no negative motivator has the right to revoke this feeling from you. So discuss it! Share your joy! Divulge your innermost self, your super-weirdness.
There are two gargantuan tasks to hurdle. You must first identify your truth. Muse, ponder, contemplate. Take your time. Your goal is to give this truth value by accepting it. Then, you must share it. Come out! You may absolutely start small. Share with one person at a time. Share your joy with your cat! Each flash of light you reveal will build upon the last. Say it out loud! Even if only to yourself! You’re growing! Your budding joy will soon act as a magnet for others who are so blessed. With sharing comes confidence, and a recognized personal Truth that you truly do belong.
May we all be rapt with contagious joy. I wish you peace, love, and happy thriving!
